Coaching Philosophy
For any youth soccer player their development training involves four key elements, the four leafs of the Sporting Savannah Shamrock, if you will.
Technical.....Tactical......Physical......Psychological.

● Technical, essentially this can be described as ball mastery. To have total control of the ball in terms of passing and receiving.
● Tactical, to have an understanding of their role on the field in executing attacking and defending throughout the game.
● Physical, to attain a level of fitness, speed and agility to play the duration of a game and withstand the physical contact associated with the game.
● Psychological, the ability to make good decisions and effectively deal with adversity.

Obviously there is a good deal of substance to each of these elements that requires experienced coaching to provide each player with the time and opportunity to fulfill their potential. Each player will find their playing level based on their desire and self motivation to achieve their full potential in these four elements. Our program is demanding but we provide a degree of fun in the training sessions so that players continue to be self motivated towards achieving the standards sought within their training sessions. Every game played is no more than a page in a book, one page does not define how good the book is and one game does not define how good a player is or will become. Parents should note playing on an older team or playing on a superior team is no substitute for experienced coaching that consistently challenges a player in their training and in games.
